It’s been reveal one more edition of International Porto’s Book Fair. The 50th edition happens from 7 to 23 of September and has more than 40 activities for all ages. “Revolution” is the book fair theme and congratulates José Mário Branco, a singer and writer of the city of Porto.
Porto’s Book Fair stays in Palácio de Cristal gardens with a 130 book sellers from Portugal but also from another countries of Europe and America. Between the highlights of this book fair there is “Scale Cabin”, a project that opens the door to 16 independent publishers with free space and a literary residence of one month to Bernardo Carvalho, a important Brazilian writer, challenge him to write a tale of the beautiful city of Porto.
In the time that happens the audience will be able to find music, discussion cycles, performances and spoken word challenges. The Portuguese artist KiNO will do a live painting on a 30-meter mural throughout the show inspired by José Mário Branco’s poem “Restlessness”.
